This is a fantastic book that reveals not just the truth about the disease known as cancer, but also the medical treatments and systems both conventional and alternative.  I wish I had read this book at the beginning of my cancer journey instead of here in the middle.  Needless to say, it is helping me to open up to so many alternatives and has prompted me to do my own investigations. 

I highly recommend this book to anyone whether you are beginning your journey with cancer or are deep into it, and if you are someone that has a loved one, friend or family member that is battling cancer.

Ivermectin, a potential anticancer drug derived from an antiparasitic drug

Ivermectin has powerful antitumor effects, including the inhibition of proliferation, metastasis, and angiogenic activity, in a variety of cancer cells. This may be related to the regulation of multiple signaling pathways by ivermectin through PAK1 kinase. On the other hand, ivermectin promotes programmed cancer cell death, including apoptosis, autophagy and pyroptosis. Ivermectin induces apoptosis and autophagy is mutually regulated. Interestingly, ivermectin can also inhibit tumor stem cells and reverse multidrug resistance and exerts the optimal effect when used in combination with other chemotherapy drugs.

Abstract

Ivermectin is a macrolide antiparasitic drug with a 16-membered ring that is widely used for the treatment of many parasitic diseases such as river blindness, elephantiasis and scabies. Satoshi ōmura and William C. Campbell won the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for the discovery of the excellent efficacy of ivermectin against parasitic diseases. Recently, ivermectin has been reported to inhibit the proliferation of several tumor cells by regulating multiple signaling pathways. This suggests that ivermectin may be an anticancer drug with great potential. Here, we reviewed the related mechanisms by which ivermectin inhibited the development of different cancers and promoted programmed cell death and discussed the prospects for the clinical application of ivermectin as an anticancer drug for neoplasm therapy.

Dr. Zach Bush MD joined us on today’s show to talk about gut health, cancer, our microbiome and how we can become more connected in order to not just improve our health but improve our lives.

We started off talking about cancer, apoptosis and how vitamin A can help cancer cells enter into apoptosis so that they don’t continue to replicate.

Then we talked about cancer and how cancer is the great disease of our time. Cancer rates have risen so high in the last 100 years that it almost defies logic.

The “war on cancer” has been a monumental failure and it’s time we stop allowing the drug companies to dominate media so people are no longer programmed to think that chemotherapy, radiation and surgery are the only answers to this most dreaded disease.

Later on in the show we talked about bacteria, gut health and the role that the microbiome plays in our health and our lives.

Instead of killing bacteria and fearing germs, we need to work with these organisms in order to improve our health. Again a lack of connection is to blame for our war against bacteria whether it’s through media or just antibiotics.

Dr. Zach Bush was a wonderful guest who provides a lot of cutting edge research and knowledge into deep aspects of health. I hope you enjoyed this radio show interview with him.

I have known about Essiac for many, many years.  I actually attended a workshop with an Ojibway elder who talked about their medicines that had been passed down from generation to generation and how they cured and alleviated symptoms of numerous illnesses.  Part two of this workshop was to make our own brew.  Little did I know, most of the ingredients were similar to those contained in Essiac.  I am now taking Essiac on a daily basis as part of my cancer regime.

History of Essiac:

In 1922, Rene Caisse, a Canadian nurse, made a discover that would change her life and the course of cancer therapy.  Caisse received the formula for an herbal remedy through a patient who had been successfully treated for breast cancer by a Native American medicine man.  With this remedy, which she called Essiac, Caisse would go on to treat thousands of patients at an incredible recovery rate of 80%.

After taking a quick look at Eli Zeke’s book, P.E.M.F. Therapy 101book; I wanted to know more about PEMF technology and therapy.  I have been seeing a number of alternative health practitioners over the years that all used these devices and each one had a different device, and each one praised the benefits of PEMF therapy.  Now that I was being faced with cancer and a spinal cord injury, I had to get serious, very serious about my health and bring certain practices into my home.  PEMF was one of those therapies that was in my face.  As a person who goes digging for the facts, I needed to know more.
